Jess Johnson brings his exceptional work ethic, customer focus, and attention to detail as a Broker at Premier Land Company. Jess joined Premier in November 2015, after several enjoyable years in the energy industry. In his role as a Drilling Engineer for Fidelity Exploration & Production Company, Jess oversaw the drilling operations on nearly 100, multi-million dollar oil and gas wells in the Bakken.

Jess graduated from Montana Tech School of Mines in 2011, earning his B.S. in Petroleum Engineering with a minor in Business Administration. While earning his degree at college, Jess had the opportunity to play football for the Orediggers. Through a teammate and mutual friend, Jess met his future wife, Mandy Jacobs, during his last year in Butte. He’ll tell you this was the highlight of his time at “Tech”. The two were married in 2013 and now reside in Glendive with their beautiful little girls, Rosalind, Blaire, and Jade.

Raised in Glendive, MT Jess enjoys spending time at his grandparents’ ranch, south of Wibaux, MT, where they raise Black Angus cattle. Throughout the years, the family ranch has helped shape Jess with the core values he demonstrates every day: integrity, dedication, ingenuity, and determination. Outside of work, Jess loves everything to do with the outdoors including archery hunting, pheasant hunting with his three labs, and fishing. Come fall, you’ll find Jess with family and friends enjoying the crisp weather in the Big Sky state, searching for Montana’s well-known big game species.

Jess lives and works out of Glendive, MT, at Premier’s eastern Montana branch office. Jess is very community driven, is active member in several local service organizations and sits on the Dawson County Land Board.
