A very functional set of improvements make up the ranch headquarters including a three bedroom, two bath home built in 1959, a slant wall shop along with several barns and pole buildings used for calving and shelter from spring storms. The ranch has three wells that supply water to the house, corrals, calving barns and tanks in numerous pastures. The main ranch headquarters consists of a three-bedroom two bath home which was recently remodeled and updated along with a 40 by 76 slant wall shop, a horse barn and a 30 by 104 pole frame metal sided barn with a large corral system. Two pole frame metal sided barns with an extensive corral system serve as the main calving facility a half mile west of the ranch headquarters, this is also the location of the ranch scale and shipping corrals.

Several other pole frame buildings located in strategic locations throughout the ranch are utilized during calving season and may provide shelter from spring storms.

The Century Ranch is in strong grass country and has been operated as both a cow calf operation and a yearling outfit. The ranch is cross fenced into numerous pastures with pipeline water and reservoirs scattered throughout the property for stock water. There are several well-established dryland hay fields near the headquarters to supply winter feed. This area is well known for its spring storms which the ranch is set up to handle with several barns, corrals and calving facilities in several locations.

Wildlife Resources

Southeast Montana is well known for producing trophy deer. The Century Ranch supports a healthy population of whitetail and mule deer along with good numbers of antelope.

Location Details

The Century Ranch is in southeastern Montana between Broadus and Bell Fouche South Dakota just four miles off Highway 212. Broadus is forty miles from the ranch, 25 miles to Alzada, 120 miles to Rapid City South Dakota and 210 miles to Billings Montana. Offering commercial air service and all the conveniences of much larger cities. The ranch is in the Broadus school district. Broadus is the county seat of Powder River County and is the major business center for the community.
